Am hoping someone out there with obviously much more knowledge

can answer this.
I have an XBOX360 bought and used in the UK with no problems, now since I have brought it over here, it works for a short while and then cuts out
, and the power transformer is very very hot 
.
Now the question, do i need to get a new transformer here in Switzerland, is this being caused because UK and Swiss electricty is different ie volts, amps watts or whatever I know nothing as you can tell.
But is the overheat being caused because im using a transformer rated for the UK, or are all XBOX360 transformers the same the world over.
