What bothers me the most is the righteous indignation of those who did use PEDs but swear "6 ways to Sunday" that they did not.
For me, that goes to character... and I don't necessarily expect that TOP athlete's will have good character any more than the general population. I guess I would rather hear "no comment" than "I did not have sex with that woman..." Oops, wrong case!
But there is going to be a problem for as long as there is not a foolproof testing protocol. So what do you do... I don't think spending public money going after a retired athlete (Lance/Barry Bonds, etc) is a good use of funds.
