Ok, then my next question would be: where are the shelters in Basel? Because is they really are so full of dogs and cats I would really prefer to adopt one of them. Poor little ones, I'm sure they need a home.
You see, I thought here in Switzerland the control of animals was very good and that's why I've never seen a dog or cat on the streets. We never asked and maybe that's why we didn't know about the difficult situation they are going through, we actually thought that they kept such a good control of things that there weren't almost any dog or cat without a house... At least not that many.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up, really. Now I'll try to find a shelter here so I can go and look for a doggie.
